I'm trying to get my stuff together and have a question on sanding. If I apply marine-tex for the gouges on my boat. Should I wet sand or dry sand? Is it one in the same paper, or do they make a paper for wet sanding. What grit should I buy?
Yes there are 2 types of sand paper. (more in fact).
If you have done a good job with your fillers, I would go straight to wet and dry sandpaper and wet sand the area with about 400 to 600 grit wet and dry.
Be sure your surface is completely dry before you start painting.
Any hardware store will carry the different papers and you will easily see the difference.
