WOW!!! Now that there is a SPEED boat! Looks like a heck of a lot of fun. I prefer the tournament type barefoot boats. But for a second boat, it sure would be cool.

My brother had a Hydrostream HST tunnel hull with a single 2.4 Merc. Supposedly had around 260 HP. That thing would fly! Had it on Mille Lacs in 3' chop doing 85 MPH! On calmer water it would do very close to 100.

Thanks for posting that!

I'm sure you could go look at it. He's located in Plymouth. 85mph in 3' chop, see if you go fast enough you can just skip over the tops.

Appreciate the thought Kevin, but I am not interested in another boat. I have my dream boat. Besides, I don't want to bug this poor guy just so I can oggle and drool. I couldn't afford either the payment or the gas! It's always fun to dream, though!

Hey, I could carpet the nose and put a pedistal seat on there and have a wicked Bass Boat.

I cant help but think that that boat has more in it than he says though.

I thought the same thing LD. He says 85-90, bu that seems pretty conservative for twins on a tunnel. It is a 23' boat, and I have no idea what one of those weigh. I can't imagine much. My brother's old Hydrostream weighed about 1200 dry and empty, including the motor.
