Did some tinkering on the engine today, I bought a spark tester from HF. I ran the motor and checked each spark plug individually, I noticed the spark was inconsistent and appeared to skip a few "flashes" inside the tester bulb on all plugs.
I did the timing 30 degrees BTDC, installed new fuel lines and filter, synced the carbs and cleaned them several times, cleaned and gapped the points .010, and installed new NGK plugs. What is causing this? The ignition HAS to be the issue of the motor running rough when reved up, right? It idles ok but Frank observed in my video that it sounds like it's "galloping". I dont think its fuel related at all.
I havent done the plug wires yet, Maybe thats the issue? Im getting frustrated but am determined to get it running good, I dont want to give up. summer is coming and i want to enjoy the boat. suggestions? TIA
