Re: schematics

Should be on the stern bracket and / or in a "freeze" plug on the rear of the powerhead.

Should be numbers followed by letters.

Re: schematics

Thhe freeze out cap has the following number on it;
G2352370
The other numbers that I found on the motor are 39652 and omc P#333740.
My question is; There is no spark. How do I proceed. Should I check the stator? and if I do what am I checking for? 12 volt? Or should I check the power pack? and if so what shbould I expect as far as voltage and what wire/terminal can I check voltage on. I got the motor at a dirt cheap price and have not been able to find a hull for it yet. Any ideas on size boat etc.? Please help.
Thanks in advance.

Re: schematics

If you cant find the model number, take the motor over to Steve at Creek Marine on Central. He can tell by looking at it if its still a small bore powerhead or has been changed to the big bore.

While youre there, have him order a service manual for you. Youre in a good spot (Sarasota, FL). Theres not many folks around that know as much about V8 outboard's as Steve.

As far as the size boat thats up to you. I've seen lots on 20' boats. I had a 19' with a V8. Steve may even have a hull for you depending on what you want to do.

Good luck!
