Scott- Atwater ,where thay a good outboard?

I have a 1968 Flying Scott, model 332, serial# 3321492 60 hp, I have service manual with it the motor looks to be in good shape,It needs timing belt and one set of points for sure, It has been siting for a long time ,so lower unit may need seal kit, and water pump impeller, It will fire on all 3 cylinder ,so now what i would like to know is it worth spending money on where thay a good outboard?<br /> thanks river run

Riverrun,Thought I posted a reply this morning.<br /> So excuse me if I repeat myself.<br /> I have very limited experience with Scotts.<br /> The only 2 like yours Ive seen up close were<br />almost new. One wasnt running right and the other<br />wouldnt run.<br />I have a number of factory service letters<br /> suggesting repairs and modifications to problem<br />motors without full info to the customers.<br /> Something like a field improvement.<br /> They are a flashy,impressive,collectable motor.<br /> But not practical as an everyday performer,<br />Though some Scott fans do.<br /> Try www.scottatwater.com for more info.<br />Sorry if this is a repeat.<br /> Good luck.
