My manual shows a part # for 2 screws required to remove the steering bushing so I can move the steering helmet up and out of the way to replace u-joints. Well the dealers I called say that the part # for the screws is bogus, and I've tried every size and thread pattern I can find and nothing seems to fit. a 6mm X 1.0 won't start in the holes. a 12 X 24 will thread in, but it's too loose. 1/4" is too big, 3/16" is too small....what kind of oddball screw does this thing take?
