Since my 1996 Four Winns 170 Horizon is up and running, I'd like some input on lakes in SE Mich; Livingston Co lakes for family boating.

My kids are 7, 5, and 3 and we all love boating.
I live near Brighton, and currently we've been putting the boat in @ Woodland lake. Not much beach area there for kids, one small island that people flock to for wading/playing, it gets crowded quickly.

searched the Mich DNR site, hard to pick out those that meet our needs:

How about these:
-Lake Chemung?

lake chemung is just as busy. check otu bruin lake has a campground and a few shallow sandbars oyu can anchor off and hang out. also you can go inot other lakes form there bruin is on a chain of lakes. you can check out the portage chain as well but you will have ot be at the launch at sunup to get a spot it fills up fast. bruin lake woul dbe your best bet the launch there can be busy so have your stuff in order and pay attention. it is a shallower launch but you should be able to get your boat in there. are you on a roller trailer or bunk trailer?
