I have a good year sea bee 5 h.p. outboard model#025-3569 serial#415394
can anyone tell me what year it is and where i can get carb gaskets? The gasket to the float bowl as well as the base plate gasket(or just a complete rebuild kit)

That motor was made 1951-53 and is a Gale model 5D10. They never did make carburetor kits back in those days, you had to order individual parts. A few parts (very few) can still be ordered through Evinrude dealers. There never was a float bowl gasket, so you don't need that one. The reed plate gasket is 550109, still available. But after 50+ years, if you do find one it probably is shrunk to the point of being useless. In other words, make your own.
