Re: sea foam deep creep oil

Ayuh,...

I bought a couple spraycans of it,...

It appears to Me, to be Much too Thin to offer Any real long term benefits for Storage...
But,..
It does seem to be a pretty good penertrating oil...

thanks bond o. i know its sold at my local parts store. versus driving 45 mins to get some from a marine store.

do you think it will suffice for a fog oil for about 4 months of storage?

or is there any other oil i can get at a auto store that will work

or drive and get the real thing

Deep Creep is an aerosol version of Sea Foam. It is not a fogging oil (in fact it is not even a lubricant although it does have some in it). It, like Sea Foam is used as a decarb agent for two stroke motors.

Ayuh,...

If you insist on upper cylinder lubrication for a 4 month lay-up,...
Pull the sparkplugs,+ squirt in a little bit of Motor Oil...
Then rotate the motor atleast 1 full revolution...

Btw,...
I Don't fog mine, nor the several other's I take care of...

hope this meets with approval because have already used it.
bar chain oil thinned with diesel.
the diesel seems to just go away after awhile leaving a tacky coat of oil.
can't think of anything having a tougher life than the chain on a saw.
the oil is designd to cling and preserve.
so far i haven't had negetives pop up.
don't know, you tell me.
walmart had poulon on sale for five something per gallon.
i spray the under side of my truck with it also to lube and prevent rust, really works well.

man o man. I don't know if it's good to use or not.

Why not just use fogging oil?

If you're trying to save money you've got the wrong hobby.

Does that mean I could use fogging oil in my chain saw?

Re: sea foam deep creep oil

down boy, i didn't start this thread.
fogging oil in a chain saw, ya know ya might have something there?!:D
like i said i use it on the under side of my truck also but it's not under coating.
diesel truck and i put 2 stroke oil in the fuel but it's not diesel fuel.
i designed my own induction system for the truck, it's not like anything out there factory or aftermarket and works great.
20,000 miles on it and 0 problem but slight performance and fuel milage increase.
the turbo howls like crazy and it only takes 3 seconds to change the filter, yup!
need to contact a company about producing it.
not about saving money just recognizing how one thing can be used for other things.
have been doing that my whole life, to late to change now.
well anyway i wish i had just went out and watched the tube right now.:)
did you know michelin just came out with a airless tire.
makes spike strips useless, thank god for technology.

Re: sea foam deep creep oil

sounds like a good idea also bond-o, thanks.
father in law "35 year a&p" told me for airplane storage they use a plastic spark plug that's filled with silica.
so i'm going to make some out of pvc and use those little packets you get in just about any box you open.
absorbing any moisture sounds like a very good idea.
thanks.
