Does anybody know anything about them? Are they good boats? How do they operate in chop on the ocean? I see they have a 21' model for about $21,000 brand new. Any comments will be welcome

Re: Sea Fox Boats

I amazed to see that no one has bashed this one.
I own a 2000 230WA that I bought as repo on 9/03, it is my first boat and has been my project since. I like mine and although it appears to a have been built on a Friday afternoon prior to quitting time, It came loaded with just about all the bells and whistles. What did I find, did you say leaks, I get more water in mine while sitting in my yard than in the water, gel coat covered bubbles on the cap, round holes for square hatches and the poor wiring job. Then again I have nothing better to do in the winter so I re-wired and re-plumbed, re-squared, filled holes and re-sealed everything. Currently have the interior torn out to add/reconfigure additional storage in cuddy.
I think as a starter boat, assuming you don't have any major issues it may fit your bill. On the water, I think the boat is a bit light in the bow (weight) and tends to pound on waves (about 2’) instead of cutting through on anything over 15MPH even when trimmed out. The boat trailers, launches, retrieves easily.
The ride is dry with only wind blown spray coming over the rail. Like everyone will probably tell you, you get what you pay for. Would I buy another one, probably not but it will serve its purpose for the amount of time I get to go out on the water. Not sure what else to say. :p .
