I have fished on Lake Erie for the last ten years. I would have been up their fishing more if I had the taste of Jumbo Perch before that! During my virginity as a boater on Lake Erie, I noticed that when leaving the channel of the Portage River, when your start to plane out, the sea gulls come from everywhere and follow your boats wake looking for tasty treats. Now days with my 27 footer, It seems that the gulls have left my wake and have been replaced with PWC's!
Those PWC's look at my wake for two things: 1-try to hit the gulls, 2-Using the wake to jump. I like watching the gulls, I think it is neat to see. On the other hand, watching a large busted babe on a PWC bouncing and ah jiggling on my wake is entertaining too! This is dangerous to me, it is rough watching where I'm going while watching the show behind me. Coast Guard had told me that a good video of their actions and registration numbers would be enough to land them a citation.. So now I pop out the ole video and it acts like bait. Those dummies are on video now and really show off for the camera. Little do they know who else is going to see this. I still like watching the gulls even that once in awhile my boat has to have some bird doo washed off. I don't think I can wash off the PWC that smashes into the side of my boat. I have friends that have PWCs and want me to ride them, I refuse because I know myself. If I ride one, I'll want one. I refuse to give in. As a matter of fact I think I will put a little PWC sticker on my hull for every PWC that I get busted for wreckless operation. My word for the PWC operator is "Have all the fun you want, But leave my Wake alone and stay away from my boat".!
