I just bought a Sea king 35 hp (1972) Model # VWB27235 27X for $1000. The first time out in the lake it started right up and ran fair out of the "no wake" zone. Then when I tried to trottle up it kept stalling out. I restarted it several times and same thing. Then I started it and it blew the motor cover off and I quickly put out a fire coming from the carb.<br />I know nothing about outboards. Is this big trouble? Did I ruin the engine? And are parts available for this motor? Help, please.
