That is an engine made by Gale Corp, a division of OMC. The GG in the model number tells me that much. It is nearly identical to Johnson and Evinrude 5.5hp engines of the same period.<br /><br />Don't know the exact year, but Gale only made Sea Kings for a few years, mostly before 1964.<br /><br />For that reason I would recommend that you use the 24:1 mix used by other OMC engines before 1964.<br /><br />Someone will be along soon who can tell you the exact year.
