I have a Model J700 1106 B Serial# 366049 this is a 7 hp motor made by Clinton Engine Company

I have been able to get the motor started and realize that I should rebuild the Carb but was wondering if the Carb on this motor was used by other manufactors in small engines so i would be able to find the parts locally instead of haveing to go through the CEPCO company in Iowa, (not that i haven't had good luck with them)

Like most people I guess I am always trying to do something on the weekend and don't like to have to wait to get the things I need to do a job.

The only numbers I have are some that are stamped on the Carb itself....LMB 165......and..... 470 982

Prime Line carb kit 7-02020 is the one you need.

To me if there are no plugs put her upside down and remove the cover clean it out and fill it to the seam.I have aftermarket manuals that cover Clinton from 57-80 no reference to motors with no drain fill plugs.
