Hello everyone,
Just purchased a 1979 9 hp seaking for my kids to use on the lake. It has not been run for about 10 years and they did not know much about it. Questions are: Model k900 5106 D Sn KTV 52 309 D. What is the fuel mixture for this motor? The motor is air cooled but is there a water pump on these motors? The lower shaft appears to get hot when it is running. How do you change the impellor if there is one?

Don't know much about that one, but the answer is yes it has a water pump atop the lower unit gearcase. Parts are at:
CEPCO (formerly Clinton Engines) 605 E maple Maquoketa, Iowa 52060. If you phone you may get info with contact info. Be patient. Ph 563-652-2411. FAX 563-652-3427.

I read that the water may exitout the exhaust tube along with the exhaust. Do you know if that is correct? is there a way to check?

As far as I know water mists out the relief holes in the leg.
Water is circulated up the leg to a deverter/defuser and simply mists out the holes no direct piping to the outlets.
