Sea King Boats built by Starcraft??

I've seen a few posts here and there mentioning Sea King boats were made by Starcraft. If so, I have a Starcraft!! The 1962 Sea King. Finished painting the hull last night. I have a resto thread.....

It's very likely that those were rebranded as "Sea King" for sale at Montgomery Ward's back in the day. You see the same with the older OMC Sea King outboards, that were sold with the boats.

Just a way for the retailer to get their name on the product for folks with MW brand loyalty if you ask me.

Either way, if it's a Starcraft it's a Starcraft

Starcraft was/is/ and always will be...the 'Sea King'

Business wise...makes sense to do what-ever's necessary, when 'Seeking' more sales.

Nice paint job...I... see king...kong size fun with that in the near future

Thanks guys!! I knew it had to be a Starcraft..... The Hunter Green color darkened nicely after a few days. At first I thought it was a little TOO green but wow, what a change. I talked to a JROTC cadet this weekend and he painted his Chevy Luv truck Hunter Green with rollers and brushes. I love me some Starcraft.....
