hello, I have a Sea King 15HP outboard which I was told is an 82, it's model number is VWB-52119D, and Serial begins in 38X. Is the year correct? also, I am looking for a new propller for it? it is a 3 bladed plastic or composite propeller. Any help is appreciated. Thank you very much :p

That checks out as an '83 15HP Chrysler built engine to me. Iboats sells a few props that will fit your engine: Click here.

Can you read any numbers off your current prop? I think the 8x9 3 blade prop is the one you want, but we should compare it to what you have.
What kind of boat do you have it on? Big and heavy, or light and fast?

Re: Sea King Propeller

My boat is a 14ft V bottom boat, with a custom flat floor with ribs and 3/4 marine grade plywood and carpet, so it's significantly heavier than stock. I usually have just myself and 1 other passenger, no numbers on the prop, I can tell you it has a plastic cone at the end held on by a cotter pin. and it looks like a shear pin for the prop. it's a composite prop 3 blades.

Re: Sea King Propeller

Thanks for all your help Paul, I have emailed them, but no response.I just wanted to make sure that the prop for the 9.9-15 HP matches what I have. I have some more info on the propeller if it will help since I have had no luck. I did find some numbers on the back of it. First of all it's a 10 spline prop with a shear pin in it as well. the numbers I can read are 430265-1, the 3 could be an 8. also looks like I can read 8 X 8 1/4 R.H. thanks Paul

Re: Sea King Propeller

Just wanted to let you know I found one through Advantage Props. It is a Michigan Wheel Prop. Part number MI 072122 The website for them is
http://www.a1discountprop.com/

No it isn't.
He needs a 10 spline , not thru the exaust. Just like I do.
Still looking for my deal on one. So far, used on Ebay asking $25 used , I offered $15, he countered at $20.
Looks to be metal but mine is plastic. That plus about $9 buck shipping.

12. Please do not post to threads that have been inactive for more than 3 months UN-LESS you are the original poster.
