Sorry for the double post my computer said the first one didn't work mods please delete other topic with the same title
Hello,
New to this forum and first time boat owner so excuse my ignorance. I bought a used 1984 or 85 Sea Nymph FM-145-15 Pike attacker.
I have stripped the boat down to bare bones as I am redoing everything.
My question is the livewell which i think was factory and maybe someone has touched it over the years.
First the ( white hose ) which connects to the aerator located on the transome below the water line (this correct right?) which feeds into the live well.
Then there is a black house which connects to the drain on the livewell which looks live an overflow type drain. This blackhouse runs all the way to the back to the transome and is below the waterline as well. How does it drain if it's below the waterline? I am assuming it's gravity fed and maybe can only be drained when the boat is out of the water? Assuming the drain in the live well would need to be plugged.
The second mystery house is above the drain house at the transome as well and just has a clear house with a valve on it and runs no where? I am assuming this is just a non propose hole and hose and how would someone go about filling the hole in the transome? plug it with some 4200 marine silcone?
Here is a video which will hopefully paint a better picture
any tips or thoughts?
Thanks in advance
