I have a 96 Sea Ray 215 Express Cruiser. I had a mooring cover made for it that is exactly like the original. When it rains I get about 3" of water or about 2.5 gallons in the bilge (before pump kicks on). I suspect water is coming in through the transom shower and the transom door. This is enough just to hit the limberholes in the bulkhead between the engine and the fuel tank. (DUH! Sea Ray) Well now I noticed the bottoms of the limberholes are rotting, wood above water seems solid, and the fiberglass covering on the bulkhead is solid on both sides. The boat was designed so that all of the water that gets on the floor goes into the bilge, not overboard. How do I go about repairing this and preventing stringer rot. I can't believe they build boats this way.
