Sea Ray SRV190 leans to starboard? What could it be?

Upon launch, the boat has a slight lean to starboard, when I get in, it is even more. When up on plane, I can turn to port side excellent and it handles great. I have to be very careful to turn starboard as it feels tippy. What could this problem be? The only weight difference is the battery which is 47 pounds weighed on my scale.

Fuel tank is up front and it is centered and I cant think of any other weight imbalances.

Carry a buddy on the other side. If that levels it out you may need to do some weight shifting when your alone. Edit: Does it list when floating by itself? If so you're going to have to do some digging to find out why.

Yes it does all by itself floating. Again only a 47 pound battery on the side it is listing to. There is a swim ladder on the side it is listing too as well but I would not think I weighs that much.

Look at his other posts. He has not had this boat very long, only a few weeks and has asked a TON of questions, some over and over again. Now he is goin gto run it with a known banged up prop.

Ford, I think you are a bit paranoid about this boat... Only one reason for a boat to list, and that is weight imbalance. If you cannot find it with gear, then it has to be something under the deck that is holding water...

Just a helpful hint, post some pics to allow us to help you better. You have asked a bunch of questions and at times have stated you were going to ignore our advice. That is your choice, but I will tell you, tell us you are goin got ignore it and people will stop trying to help. But pictures of some of your issues will help us to help you...

I have re-read this post and there was nothing said here to go against any advice anyone suggested. ???????????

I will get some pics of it listing while floating all by itself. I will also add a battery or some weight to the other side to see if it will compensate.

And yes, I am very paranoid because it is new to me and *unknown*, I have no tow membership, and there are few boaters left in the water because it is too cold up here. If I break down, I am paddling back by myself! It was cared for up until 05' then it changed owners quickly.

I was refering to your post on the prop. You said you were going to run it as is (without a balance check) and take a chance on the lower unit.

Adjust the weight, get some pics and we will try to help. I still think you need to have that prop checked and balanced....

Re: Sea Ray SRV190 leans to starboard? What could it be?

Sorry for no pic yet, my cell phone sucks. I ended up leaving it docked all night and decided to have a look to see if it was taking on water. It was not.

However when my body is on the starboard side, it leans, when on the port side it hardly does. If I have a survey done, do they use a special camera to look under the deck to check for foam problems / rot?

The floor is nice and firm throughout and looks original as far as I can tell.
