Sea Ray = Sun Runner = Sea Swirl ?

Hi

I am looking at a 1979 Sunrunner CC, new GM 350 and VP 280, knowing that Sunrunner is no longer in business. Seems that the focus in these forums is not necessarily on the boat manfacturer, but on the engine and outdrive. There is a very negitive OMC - advise.

So I love the old SeaRays and want to know if they compare equally with the older Sun Runners ? Hull design etc.

I also like the raised cabin look of the older Sea Swirls but don't know if they are equal or in the ball park with Sea Ray.

when you get into older boats, the condition means more than the hull. you could not give the an OMC outdrive. and i am an OMC outboard guy. most of the value in the older boats is in a good drive train.
