Hello! Question -- I've got a 1987 Mariner 150 V6. I'm replacing the tach, and I've found out from Teleflex that my alternator has 12 poles, and I need a 6P setting on my tach.<br /><br />Well, I bought a Sea Ray tach that has 3 settings -- 4,6,8 cylinders. I think it is for an inboard motor.<br /><br />Question is, can I set it to the 6 cylinder and expect it to work? How can I get this tach to work on my boat?
