Hello folks, I took the ol ‘81 Sea Sprite out on a nice long run over the weekend over some fairly rough water and it felt like the whole thing was coming apart around me. The dash boards flexed so much that the center windshield fell in and got wedged between the port and starboard wind shields. Each wave sounded like the whole hull was made out of thin balsa wood and about to crack. -no real problems came of it, but it got me wondering if there’s something to be checked, reinforced, insulated, braced, etc in order to keep this bow rider from feeling like it’s made of cheep plastic. Any insight is appreciated. Thank you

Since nobody experienced will answer. Check for rot in the floor. There really isn't anything you can do about it except gut it and put it all back in. Look at how my boat is built. I hit huge waves nothing is loud rattling or moving it is a tank.

It’s hard to know what’s under those bow seats without separating the bow halves, which I’ve seen guys do but that looks like more project than what I can handle 😬

The ONLY way to know for sure is to remove the deck. I'm pretty sure your stringers are toast and you'll need to do a full rebuild but a 40 year old boat may not be worth the effort.
