sea water pump

simple question, i have 4.3 volvo, 2 hoses coming off the pump, which is which, looking at schematic, port side pump goes to gimble housing(intake) and starboard goes to thermostat inlet, is this correct? I can't for the life of me remember which way

Might be a simple question, but not as simple an answer. Volvo has used the 4.3 for years, with many different pumps.
Could you post your full model number for us, then we could look up what you really have and answer your question.
PS: Year doesn't work, that's boat year, not engine and drive, and they are usually different from boat year.
