well i did some measuring of my transom yesterday and figured i need 11 gallons of seacat. (small transom) so thats comes out to be about $550 shipped. then i looked at nidabond. if their bucket are 5 gallons then i would save about half. but i have read that you have to get your own hardener MEKP. i have no idea where i could get this stuff from here in michigan. or how much it cost. the seacast has everything you need.

gET CATALYST AT ACE HARDWARE STORE OR ORDER FROM ANY RESIN SUPPLIER, You'll have to pay the enviroment shipping fee .
But its not hard to come by.
I used seacast, wish I had known about the nida.
Get a 16 inch elec chainsaw. Works a treat.

very simple, its a non event when you come to the pour.
Its all in the prep.
Remove all hardware and thru bolts/fittings, remove wood, clean, blow it out , tape all the holes shut and you're set to go.

Re: seacast-nidabond

well i ordered the seacast instead of the nida core. i only needed 11 gallons and seacast had five gallon pails and one gallon pails. nida core only had 5 gallon pails.

so for the nida core 3-5 gallon pails shipped came out to be $547.37. that is without the catylist(spelling)

seacast i got 2-5 gallon pails and a 1 gallon pail for $548.67 shipped and i dont need to get my own catylist. everything you need comes in the kit.

seacast also said that nida core doesnt have a live support line to call if you have any ?'s. it should be here in about 2 weeks. cant wait to get started.
