Seacock pickup for cooling

I noticed after I've bolted evrything up and am about to get ready to run it, that the hose for the cooling pump (fwc mercruiser 260, 1987) is 1 1/4 diameter. The seacock (or whatever its called) in the bilge is 3/4. <br /><br />What can I do to make this work?<br /><br />-- Joe

That is a cool link. However, the link is to an open system and i'm closed, but I appreciate the site.. I looked at the closed diagram. <br /><br />I talked to a few people and have determined that I need to replace my pickup with a 1 1/4 inch one, rather than the 3/4 inch. <br /><br />-- Joe
