I found a 2001 seadoo utopia 185 for 5,500. It has 87 hours on it and he says it runs good he has sent me pictures and it looks clean. 5,500 sounds too cheap, i was thinking that something must be wrong with it. Is their anything that i should ask or look for when i see the boat. was thinking maybe it has a salvaged title or something.

I sure wouldn't buy it sight unseen, nor would I buy it without an on-the-water test. $5500 is a bunch of money, no matter how you look at it. How far is this thing from you?

Asking questions of a seller is useless. You have to protect yourself. If you don't have a very strong working knowledge of 2 stroke motor/jet-drive repair (at least I think that's what those things have), then I feel your best protection is arranging to take it to a marina and pay them to do a good check on it. Asking them to perform a compression test would be critical, in my mind. That way you're only risking maybe $100 instead of $5,500.
