Seafoam decarb, what harm?

Is there any harm done to the fuel pump diaphram if an overly excessive amount of seafoam is added to the fuel?

Nope. You should be able to run 100% Seafoam through it with no harm. Wont say what that might do to the rest of the engine, though.

Where do you folks get seafoam? I haven't found it at local retailers (Napa, Walmart, Boater's World, Autozone, etc.).

Don't know if you have this store where you're located, but Gander Mt. has it in their marine dept.

We have it here in almost every autoparts store(NAPA, AutoZone, I think Advanced Auto and Checker may have i too) and at Fleet Farm (midwest farm/auto/tool store).

Autozone and Advance Auto carries it, too. Good stuff, I run a can every now and then in my fuel-inject autos to clean the pipes.

P.O.N.Y. - great restoration project. Where did you get the new decals? Were they made to your order? Looks like a new motor.

Thanks Glasply 1,<br /><br />The decals were from cutnupvinyl.com Ther guy specializes in Johnson/Evinrude stuff. After an email or two and a picture or two of what I wanted, he sent me a price quote and scan of what he had designed. He designs the stuff first, then if you like it you can buy . I paid $18 for the decals which wasn't bad at all. And they were PERFECT.
