Did the Seafoam Deep Creep decarbon thing today. 95 Force 120 that I have had since new. Has never been overheated. Compression before was #1-130 #2-142 #3-142 #4-145 Now it is #1-138 #2-148 #3-148 #4-151. I know #1 is a little low but seems acceptable to me. Have put her up for the year but may give it another treatment in the spring when I take her back out on the water. If anyone has had similar or better results let me know. Or for that matter even if you had no results at all. In my opinion it seemed to help....

Something you might find intesting. Force 120 and 125 engines all came from factory with #1 cyl being a small amount lower than the rest.

TMD

TMD, I guess what you are saying is that I should be in pretty good shape then?? I did not know that and thanks for the info. I am curious as to why?? I can only guess it would have something to do with either the cooling or fuel systems to reduce the possibility of detonation. I had an old Chrysler 100 that had compression equal in all cylinders until it dropped one and it was the top one. hmmmmmm.... Again thanks...Seldon

I have seen similar increases in compression.
Most like reason is that the rings are freed up and can create a better seal against the cylinder walls.
