Re: Seafoam

Lubosleftboot

If interested I can get you any amount of seafoam that you are needing. Yes the shipping will be a little high I would think. Just letting you know that Seafoam is a HIGH QUALITY product and will help ya get some if you want. My email addy is wareagle50@hotmail.com if you are interested. I an also get Deep Creep which is a aerosol can that you use to spray directly into the carbs while running on muffs. In fact if anyone has problem getting these products let me know at my email addy and in the subject line Put Seafoam so I will recognize it

Re: Seafoam

Well i have the same problem.
I live in the Netherlands and the Sea Foam company told me there are no dealers in Europe.

There are some other products to find here, but they are more like snake-oil.

From USPS i got:

20 Pound Priority Mail? Flat Rate Box 6 - 10 Days $37.00

20 pounds should be enough for a couple of cans. :)

I'm willing to pay that. Is someone willing to help me out for a fair price?

It is for my '86 60HP Johnson. It was always on pre-mix fuel. And i know sometime, the ratio was a bit higher then needed, just to be sure. So a bit smokey engine was the result. (and i guess carbon build up). I'm looking forward to clean 20 years of dirt out of my engine. :p

Re: Seafoam

I don't think USPS will accept a shipment of flammable liquid.

Re: Seafoam

You may want to research "Top End Cleaners". They are decarbon products. GM has it in liquid and aerosol. Mazda and Honda both have products. Quiksilver/Mercury have products.

Seafoam is my favorite, too, but don't let the lack of one brand keep you from doing the job.

Re: Seafoam

couldnt the same result come from pulling the head(s) and manually removing the carbon? maybe using kroil or a good penetrating oil at that point on the rings?

Re: Seafoam

The de-carbon process will remove the carbon even from under the piston rings if it is done correctly. There is no quick and easy mechanical way to do that.

If the contents were available in other countries, I would think that you could make a reasonable substitute product for a decarb. Here's a link to the MSDS for Sea Foam:

seafoamsales.com/pdf/MSDS_SFTT_US.pdf

EDIT: Direct links to commercial operations are not allowed.

IPA is isopropyl alcohol.

Can you specify some product names? When i search on google i can find topics about Top end Cleaner, but hard to find others.

Re: Seafoam

I looked in every corner of the internet, but no success. Almost everybody prefers Sea Foam above other products.

I want Sea Foam. Can somebody help me out? I am willing to pay for it.

Re: Seafoam

Pacer II can, he offered it up a couple of posts up with his e-mail address.

Generally I prefer the OMC engine tuner to Sea Foam, it's easier to use (if you have a primer) and made for the one specific purpose.

I got turned off of Sea Foam, actually Deep Creep, when I was reading the back of the can and it has 100 different uses.

How can it be a de-carb and penetrating oil, but be a fogging oil at the same time?? Your supposed to run it out after 15 minutes or so, but yet it's OK to leave it in for 4 months as a fogging oil?? Doesn't seem thick enough to fog anything to me.

Re: Seafoam

I agree with cricket, although seafoam may be a great product, your local OMC engine tuner will do a great job, they spend alot of money to ensure that it does, and you wont have to worry about shipping costs, wait time, and trying to ship a flammable substance.
