Ok so after I bought the motor It was recommended by the dealership to use the Johnson 2 cycle engine oil for the 50/1 mixture (red color) but I am having issues with crud coming out of the lower unit (pin holes at the bottom of the lower unit) even after the motor was siting for 6 months. I called the guy who sold me the motor and told me that he only used Castrol 2 cycle oil and never had any problems with unburned crud leaking from anywhere.
First where can I find Castrol 2 cycle oil? And from what I understand it is ok to have crud coming out of the escape holes at the bottom of the lower unit right?

Thanks for your help.

I think Walmart has it. At least in Canada they do. IMO any tcw-3, 2 stroke oil is fine. I use synthetic on my kickers. It is normal so nothing to worry about and I always find more unburned oils leaks out if I've been running motors in a barrel. At the end of a day of trolling I always go WOT for five or ten minutes just to heat things up and blow the oil out of the exhaust. It really makes a difference but still there is no concern with the dripping. Best of luck. Rick.
