Hi all thanks to those that helped me, I got the motor to fire up but it wont idle and dies. I noticed that there was a screw that adjusts the richness of the motor but without the manual I'm not sure on how it needs to be set. There is also another screww on top of the carb.

Brian

brian, i found a store in mi. that will probably mail you a copy of the sea king manual. i got one from him for my 7hp. it has carb adjustments and all the parts breakdowns. "Discount Marine," owners name is Sherwood. he is a great guy to deal with. please buy all your parts from him if he helps you. - phone 248-588-0633

I forget if your motor is a Chrysler/Force but if
it is and uses a Tillotson carb, the low speed starts at 1 turn out from gently bottomed,Then adjust the best idle. High speed is a fixed jet.

Yep, it is a Tillotson carb, and a Chrysler motor. I took the carb of and cleaned it with carb cleaner, it looked to be in good shape. I did as your post said and it still only cranks and then dies, like its not getting the fuel. The float bowl seem like its working ok.
