I'm a novice antique motor owner trying to find the coil/electronic ignition unit for my 1978 SeaKing
. The original coil is orange. Can anyone please help me locate the coil system. Cepco doesn't have one, discount marine hasn't replied to my request so I don't think they have one. The motor will start and run perfectly if you crank it really fast. If you crank it normal speed there is minimal to no spark to the plug. Once the motor warms up I think the coil gets overheated by the motor heat and theres no spark at all. Thanks for any ideas or referalls.
