sealing badly leaking pontoons????

Have a 20' pontoon boat that had been previously used in salt water. The aluminum pontoons are corroded on the bottoms from sitting on the salty bunks of the trailer... I've discovered MANY small leaks in them and would like to know how I should proceed.... Boat is already out of the water, so it can't sink!!!
I'm thinking of removing the pontoons so I can work on them easily, sandblasting then coating the bottoms with either "Gluvit" or "Coat It" to seal them... Yes, No???? I've been unsuccessful in finding replacement pontoons in my area, so I'm afraid I'm stuck with repairing what I have...... I know welding the leaks would be the best fix, but there are just too many.... Boat will only be used on a fresh water river from now on.
Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated. thanks in advance!!!

The only solution I have seen that works with your description is to replace the toons or to weld a new aluminum skin over the old ones.

If you were close to me I could get you a basically replacement toons for around $400.00

Dooma is right. The patches will likely fail in a short time.

Try calling Jarold's marine they have a lot of boats and I think an old toon sitting around, they may be able to help. They are located in Cumming next to Bald Ridge Marina.
