I need advice on sealing a leak. I recently had all the scratches, holes, etc re glassed on my boat. Now it looks new underneath even above the trailer bunks. Glass shop said that none of those areas repaired could have been letting in water like I was describing. Now I want to do a stringer job but I can't do this till I figure out why I am still taking on water. I have plugged the deck wash intake and replaced the scuppers and hoses. Still, I am geting water in the bilge. How is this possible????? The only thing left would be motor mounts. How can I seal these off competely to eliminate them as a possibility?

should have used 3M 4200 on the bolts when they were installed. you probably have rot there now. so you may have not only a stringer job, but transom as well.

I hope not. THere is no cracking in the glass on the transon (yet) and it's about 4 inches thick. I hope to seal it and be done, Stringers aren't attached to transom and deck isn't eithrer( sperated by solid glass splashwell. )so I hope I get lucky. Plan to back boat into water slowly inch by inch this weekend and see where it starts coming in. Perhaps there is still another hole smewhere else, hopefully.
