Re: Sealing Pressure treated plywood

First off, we need to know what kind of boat it's on. Is it on a pontoon where carpet will be going over it? I have a 1965 runabout that I replaced parts of the floor in, and there is a layer of fiberglass on top and on the bottom.....I guess you should just slap a layer of wood sealer on it to be on the safe side and look at the rest of the floor.....

It my understanding with pressure treated that if its to new, it needs to dry out first because the sealants or epoxys u use will not soak in or stick.

Re: Sealing Pressure treated plywood

1971 Glastron V164. The deck rotted around the engine cover from loose bolts. The rest of the deck is in perfect condition. The deck was glassed only on the top. The PT Ply that I used is very dry. The piece that I put in is glued and screwed in. I was just wondering what other people have used to seal PT ply. Any products that worked well. Can I use resin without glass?

Thanks for your posts.
