Sealing Temp Sender

Hi All,

I'm replacing the water temp sender on my 3.0L Merc. I know (from reading here) that I'm not supposed to use teflon tape, but the sender did not have any factory sealant on it.

So, what (if anything) can I use to seal it? Permatex? Loctite? Nothing?

A little Permatex works fine.
