Searay 370-ac Performance Questions

I Have A 98 Searay 370-ac With Twinn 7.4 Mercruisers They Run Greatbut Use A Lot Of Fuel And They Don"t Like To Stay In Sync Over 3ooo Rpm With Or Without Syncronizer On Starboard Motor Does Not Want To Race Up Like Port Is This Normal For This Boat Or Does Anyone Have Any Suggestions??

You don't give much history, but I would start with a complete tuneup of both with a comp test of the 'weak' engine to get a sort of baseline and a general idea of the health of the engine. Pay attention to the plugs and what they look like. Service the fuel filters/seperators etc. Engine oil look ok? (no water/choc milk). Check the drives for water. Any water in the bilge? There is definetely something amiss, but you have to start knowing that the basics of the motors/drives are covered.
