I was wondering how much IN YOUR OPINION would be a reasonable offer for this '86 SeaRay Weekender with cracked block asuming I could do lots of mechanical work myself. I have contacted the seller and awaiting for him to get back.
Thanks for your input folks.

Well the trailers probably worth about the $1700 bucks!
As it is an 1986 I would be looking at the shape of the transom for rot as well as seperation on the roof of the cuddy.
You can pick up a 5.7 merc pretty reasonably these days.
(no less than the 260 HP, 300 HP if you can find one, thats a heavy boat)

I can agree, maybe not that much but close to it IF...axle hardware is in good shape and brakes are in working order as it's probably of '80s as well.
But...pull the trailer out, leave the boat on blocks for a year and you are begging for free pickup. There is a whole bunch of these on CL.

My thoughts exactly..... I'd offer him $500 if the boat doesn't have too much rot.

If the transom and stringers are good, I think offer $1000 and see what he says. If the transom or stringers are bad, I'd pass.
