Search Feature Problems

I can't get the iBoats search engine to find anything with a number in the search criteria? I was trying to find info on a Mercury 9.9 hp so I enter 9.9, no results. I enter 115, no results. What am I doing wrong? I did a search for "search" problems but didn't find anything.

3 digit searches fail.

Try putting a make or model in the search and in quotes...... such as "merc 115" or "mercury 115" or "Johnson 9.9" "evinrude 9.9"

If you browse around in the advance search....... you will see the ability to search one forum area and not all of iboats

And

iboats has recently moved to "Tags" so if you click on a title such as 115 in the tags area you will get all 115 references.

Yes the search can be frustrating but it works if you manipulate it the right way...... just a learning curve.

I'ver been farting around with computers long enough that I should have figured out I needed to try quotes. Thanks Bob, it worked like a champ.
