Search function - suggestion for mods

I have encountered this before several times before and was wondering if it would be possible to put a 'stop' button on the search status page. SOmetimes its not necessary to wait and search thru ALL the categories. The search seems to take forever now, especially with the added boat categories. Just a thought.

Why not try narowing your search.......if your search is relevant to maybe 3 catecories why not search each one individually. A search in a single category is nearly instant whether it has 300 hits or not.<br /><br />I used to get frustrated waiting for the search to sift through every forum, but I find if I try hard enough I can get what I am looking for with a few searches of single fora. (obviously doesnt apply all the time, but most of the time ESPECIALLY for repair/maintainence questions it is much easier.)

I also just search each category separate like .Pony said without any waiting.
