Hi, I am a complete novice to boating and recently bought a an old Searay 200 SR, think it’s 1993 or 1994, before we take it out this summer there are a few things we need, primarily there is no visible kill cord? I’d this something we have overlooked or were they not installed on this model? It has a 4.3 mercruiser inboard /outdrive

many thanks

It may have been modified to no longer have one. Look to see if the control box has a place for a kill switch that may have been disconnected from the cord. If that's the case, and you want the switch to do its thing, just put a new cord on it. I do not know if that particular boat originally had one. If you post up some pics, it'll likely get you better help. iBOATS has kill switches https://www.iboats.com/shop/electri...mergency-boat-kill-switches-and-lanyards.html

Ok thanks, it's currently in storage so will check it out next week, even trying to search on net for a close up of control
Many thanks

you have to look at your boat, not a boat on the net.

even identical spec'd boats coming down the assembly line would be different.

after 25 years, who knows how your boat was modified.

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,....... That vintage likely didn't have such a switch,......

You can add 1 in the Ignition circuit, the purple wire comin' off the key switch,.....
