usally a steering wheel type of puller, I use the tap on a nut method. Use a diffrent deeper nut than your flywheel nut, screw it down just before the end of the crank protudes, give it a light smack with a heavy hammer using something to gently pry under the flyweel while you give a smack, if that fails go buy a puller,

you have a solid state ignition under there, after market replacements/repair will be about $238 from CDI or you can contact Ed stoller edstoller@earthlink.net

He charges about $35 & shipping for a repair....just got 2 SSI units back from him myself

yes.could someone tell me how to remove the flywheel on this motor and where can i get after market parts....

Very carefully! No----seriously!

mrcrabs answered your flywheel removal request adequately so I just want to issue a caution. However you try to remove it avoid one of the outside finger style of 'gear puller' like it is a rattlesnake. I can't begin to tell you how many flywheels have been destroyed by people trying to use them!

<http://www.certifiedpartscorp.com/>

Certified parts bought out the rights and remaining parts stock from both Eska who made your outboard for Sears and Tecumseh who was the manufacturer of the actual engine itself. So they are the go-to people. You'll have to call (with Model # in hand!) to order what you need but their telephone order takers have been very helpful for both myself & others.

Brix Ent. also stocks parts and can be VERY helpful. They are also where you go to find year model, specs and tune-up data using your model # to find it all in the helpful tables he maintains on the website.
