I need to repair the spark plug but the one it came with is no longer available and no one seems to have a cross reference to a currently available plug. I want to do some maitenance but i am hesitant to begin with no informatin

Can anyone here help? Thanks

Welcome to iboats. :)

That's a 1964 3.5Hp made by McCulloch which was Scott Atwater in a previous life and Eska later on. I'm afraid beyond that, I don't have much info. Manuals come up on eBay on occasion. That's probably your best bet.

Re: sears and roebuck 3 hp motor

I'm working on one now and I have a manual. Not sure of the year, but t is old. It is white, 3.5 hp and is aircooled. They want half a pint of SAE30 wt to one gallon. No multi wts! I did 8 ounces 2 cycle oil in a gallon. Plug is allstate #60130 gap is .030. The engine wont run unless it is tilted all the way down (in) because gas wont go down the line into the carb. I had to blow out lines and carb with air as they were clooged with soldified gas. I'm surprised mine ran as I didnt have to disassemble the carb. Hope this helps. Fuel cap. is 1.9 qts, and the exhaust is water cooled. Be sure you see at least a water mist coming out the top exhuast while it is running. They say you can run it out of water up to a minute, but I didnt because I have no idea where to get a pump.
