i am still working on my old 67 sears 3.5 (it's the same lower end as the eska)
i am reassembling the lower end but i am not sure what or how much lower end oil? Grease? to put in.
When i opened it it was Dry.
it does not look like it has run in a real long time so i am not concerned about it being dry.
but what should i put in there?
Regular gear oil?
which hole is the vent and which is the fill hole?

It should take 90wt gear oil. The fill hole is the bottom one, with motor in upright position add gear oil in fill hole till it runs out of vent hole, put vent plug in then remove gear oil tube and replace fill plug.
