Sears/Force 15hp Recoil Starter Problems

Hey guys, hope all is well. Georgia is about dried up and ready to blow away. My lake is 13 ft down and still dropping.
Im in need of some help with my 15 hp force outboard. The recoil starter jams when I pull the rope out. The recoil spring wont pull it back in and when I try to turn the nylon rope pulley, it is "VERY" hard to turn it. Seems to be jamming.
I am assuming the pulley is in need of replacing. Any idea of where I can get a new recoil rope assembly??? I love my 15hp force on my Riverhawk 16', it really scoots and I dont want to give it up for quite a while...thanks for any help you can give.. ron..

The recoil spring may be broken or the plastic plug at the bottom that it inserts into may be broken.

Try your local Mercury dealer and ask for Force parts or try over at The Chrysler Crew website.
