I have a sears Gamefisher 7.5 Model# 217-585850. It will start and run about 5 seconds then it will shut off like its flooded. After that it will leak raw gas out the exhaust down by the prop. I have replaced all the gaskets on the carburetor and both gaskets on each side of the engine. What could cause the raw gas to leak out? Also what is the fuel mix ratio? I have been running 24:1 that is what i was told was the correct mix but i have read about 50:1 being used.

Welcome lost and confused, you have a 1977 model
Sounds like the pump element is split (duck bill) could also be a hole in the float causing it to sink, also it apears to be a points model from what I can make out and a good cleaning and gap .19 , the correct plug would be a RJ14YC or a RJ12C gapped at .35 and it use's 50:1
