Sears gamefisher

Great forum guys! Found it today while looking for some info.<br /> I have a 1978 Sears gamefisher 7.5hp outboard. I need an external coil and a repair manuual. I have looked in all the places suggested in similar posts but cannot find what I need.<br />The engine model is 217 585930 and the serial is 7l- 172882.<br />Any help would be grealty appreciated.

Dude, try going to your local libaray ck out outboard repair by intertec vol. 11 go to eska section 3-7.5 hp copy pages cost maybe 1-2 bucks in copy fees for the manuual.<br />as for the coil that part may be hard to get but try a post on craigslist.com maybe someone is parting out a gamefisher. I lucked out & bought a used carb for my 1980 7.5hp.<br />Then there's ebay<br /><br />Good luck with the repairs

It has a Tecumseh powerhead. A good lawnmower dealer can probably help you with what you need. You'll need the numbers from a small metal tag attached to the powerhead. Good luck and try discount-marine-parts dot com.
