Re: sears motor

401 is code for Bissell vacs. Either that is too old for records, or that is not the right number..

Re: sears motor

a friend of mine found asite that gave me the info I wanted. It's a 1947-1951 2.5hp. I'll have to find out the site he found it on, in case someone else needs the info.

Re: sears motor

It is a pleasure I was given a few projects. All together I've ended up with 23 so far this year. The newest is a 78 johnson 70hp johnson.

Re: sears motor

I limit my time to about 1 hr per project every other day, with 4 odd outboard projects going at different stages of the game plus mantiance on the small fleet I command, got to get some stuff winterized fo sho round here!.....and on top all of that I'm replumming the old Allard School house I live in, (I own a Historical Site)... but I enjoy making the things I need like gaskets and some ignition stuff,
I just went to harbor frieght and bough some punches to make Scott Atwater gaskets...oh the joy:p my Christmas wish list includes a soda blaster and USB occilascope for the lap top.

I have a 1975 Johnson 70hp looper, really nice power to weight ratio for 70hp, on the right boat she will scream and fly, my newest toy is a 92 Evinrude 120 looper on a Alumacraft phantom V170, nice wide deep V river boat for a old fat guy like me.
Last guy who owned it drown.
