Sears outboard needs a fuel line...

I found an old Sears outboard in the shed last fall. And now that it's getting nice out, I thought I'd see if it works. Only problem is, I can't get it fuel, because I don't have a fuel line for it. And noone local can help me out on this either. I pulled the cord, and the engine moved with compression.

Model # 60920

Any general info I could get on this thing would be great as well.

Go to www.discount-marine-parts.com and click the down arrow next to Outboatrd Motors, then select Sears. That will give you a little history plus a breakdown of models by manufacturer. You need more numbers, there should be a three number prefix in front of what you posted. Go to www3.sears.com and have your model number handy. You might get lucky and find parts diagrams online there.

Only 60920 I found was 582.60920, 1968 3.5Hp made by Clinton. Parts are going to be a problem. A guess on the Clinton powerhead model is J350.

That model should use a standard Chrysler-style fitting for the connector on the fuel line. No problem there, since that connector is available everywhere.

The same fitting is used on almost all of the Sea King and Sears motors after about 1965 or so.

It's a single hose connector, with a groove around the connector back about 1/8" from the front of the male part. If that's it, it's a Chrysler connector.
